Break on Through and Embrace Freedom with Change

Step out of your comfort zone to welcome fresh possibilities. Plant your seeds of intention and welcome spring growth with a deep breath.

Be open to progress in the present moment.

The moment you want to give up, the intense feeling of discomfort, is the magic moment of change. Every moment that you experience the desire to quit and you do not, you strengthen the inner voice of “yes”. Change is only possible when we’re ready to let go and embrace something new.

Sticking with change, even when it gets hard, is the base of life.

Change keeps coming, even if it’s slow. Change is everywhere, every day, and in every deep breath. Nothing is impermeable to this ongoing feature of life. Time, nature, people, the weather, everything changes.

Of course, it’s nice to feel safe and comfortable. But staying comfortable is not the place of change and pure possibility.

You can choose to flow forward with love and embrace where you are — or retreat and react with fear, stewing in stagnant energy. If you feel stuck in that stagnant energy, reach out to your tribe. Surround yourself with what you love. Meditate. Practice yoga. Read. Journal. Take a walk. Breathe.

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.” —Lao Tzu

If a drop of water falls on a rock for many years, the rock changes shape and the fluid flow of water brings change. No matter how small, doing something is better than nothing. Make small shifts for positive change to reach your goals. Rather than being rigid and brittle, flow with awareness.

I love going for a hike or gentle walk, practicing yoga, paddle boarding on the lake…These activities get my creative juices flowing with change. While I can’t go hiking or paddle boarding everyday, I can take a conscious deep breath and begin again.

We all have a story to break through, and we all have flowing strength in the breath to begin again.

When I step away from “being busy” while shedding layers of “I should be” to carve out time for myself, I feel more spacious, inspired, and refreshed.

Inhale.

Exhale.
